Welcome to the beautiful city of Machico with this high-definition PTZ live webcam, located at Forum Machico Cultural centre, on the east coast of Madeira Island, Portugal. From this moving cam feed provided in partnership with Ci¢mara Municipal de Machico, you can virtually visit Machico’s popular beachfront promenade along Banda d’Ali©m golden sand beach, ‘Praia de S. Roque’ pebble beach and pier. The fortress ‘Forte de Nossa Senhora do Amparo’, an isolated preserved Military Architecture from 1706, including the municipal gardens and children’s park around the fort. This area is also home to many special events such as, the 16th-century Medieval Market festival linked to the discoveries, the MIUT Trail Running event, the popular Gastronomic Fair in late July early August. 
On the right hand side you can see the chapel of Si£o Roque, Hotel Dom Pedro and an up close view of the popular Francisco Alvares Ni³brega viewpoint, from where you can enjoy extraordinary views over the city, the mountains and the valley. 
To the left towards the sea you get a close-up view of the Desertas Islands Nature Reserve, Ponta de Si£o Lourei§o, Pico do Facho and the Fort of Si£o Joi£o Baptista, near the small harbour. This 18th century fortress was classified as a cultural heritage of the Autonomous Region of Madeira on August 18, 1943, where the Portuguese first disembarked to begin the settlement of the island of Madeira. Now in the process of being transformed into a lovely hotel.
